Intermediate Pilates Mat

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. REGISTER FOR CLASS

This class incorporates mat exercises up to the advanced level and is taught in a flow style workout that challenges endurance as well as precision. Best suited for experienced students with some knowledge of classical exercises and a regular pilates practice.
 
Mat classes follow a flowing choreography and emphasize the core principles of Pilates including: breath, concentration, control, centering, precision, balanced muscle development, rhythm/flow, whole body movement and relaxation. Mat Pilates is suitable for beginner and advanced students, it can be practiced in addition to equipment classes or simply mat. One major benefit of Mat Pilates is - it’s portable, all you need is a mat and a place to stretch out. Take it with you on vacation, at home or when you have 5 or 10 minutes to spare.

 

Multi Level Mat Pilates

This mat class will focus on the Pilates foundations while incorporating Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) exercises. Pilates Central owner Donna Parise Byrne, PT, OCS, PRC has designed this class, taught by Elizabeth Hodges, with exercises used in her physical therapy practice. TEEN Mat Pilates for Dancers

Small group mat class for teens and young adults. Pilates is a great way for teens to kick-start a lifetime of fitness and well-being. Learn proper stretching techniques along with core strengthening and proper body alignment.  All levels welcome.

You don't see a class that you have been waiting for or the time doesn't fit your schedule? Twist Pilates & fitness will be happy to work with you to design a customized class.

All you need are 6 or more interested people (teen athletes, family pilates, pre-natal, walking, running or cycling clubs, pilates for golf or tennis) Yoga, dance and Zumba instructors are also available. Please contact Elizabeth with ideas.

 
Mat Pilates Classes are $180.00 for 10 mat classes or $90.00 for 5 mat classes, $20.00 for drop in. You may also use the mat package to attend "Cardio Sculpt" Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Yoga Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. with Lori Lichtman-Sander.
Mat packages expire 120 days from purchase.
